Asante Kotoko shrugged off stiff opposition from premiership newcomers, Techiman Eleven Wonders, to beat them by a lone goal on Easter Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadim in Kumasi.
Veteran midfielder, Jordan Opoku tipped-toed the only goal in the 85th minute from a melee after the visitors had failed to clear their rear in a tussle.
Abdel Wahab, a former player of Kumasi King Faisal Babies netted a perfect equalizer for Eleven Wonders minutes later but assistant referee Eric Nantira ruled it as an offside to the chagrin of the visitors.
Kotoko now occupy the fourth position on the 16-club league table on seven points while Eleven Wonders slumped to the seventh position on five points.
