The 668-kilometre cycling tour, which is scheduled to commence today, will end at the bank’s head office at Cantonment in Accra as cyclists ride through the various regional branches across the country.

As part of preparations to mark the cycling tour, HFC Bank, has organised a nationwide clean-up exercise in communities where it has branches to create awareness of a cleaner environment and to raise funds towards the building of a community-based Health Planning Services (CHPS) compound at Nyanshegu, a suburb of Tamale in the Northern Region.

According to organisers of the programme, HFC Bank and Infanta Foundation, the event will be led by the bank's Board Chairman, Mr Charles William Zwennes, who with the cyclists are currently in Tamale ready to start the 668 kilometre tour.

Another huge boost for the tour is the endorsement it had received from the First Lady, Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo.

Mr Zwennes noted that the bank has partnered Velocity and the Chain Gang cycling groups to embark on the tour which is aimed at providing healthcare in areas where access to a clinic or hospital was difficult.
