Hearts NCC Chairmanship hopefuls to pay GH¢7,000 filing fee
Prospective candidates eyeing the Chairmanship position of the National Chapters Committee (NCC) of Accra Hearts of Oak will be required to pay a non-refundable filing fee of GH¢7,000.
In a letter signed by the Chairman of the Elections Committee, Edem Nyadudzi, it was also stated that aspirants for other executive positions—including Vice Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, and Deputy Public Relations Officer—must pay filing fees ranging from GH¢5,000 to GH¢3,000.
The letter directed all interested and eligible candidates to submit their completed nomination forms and pay the required fees by June 30, 2025.
Mr Nyadudzi emphasised that candidates must meet specific eligibility criteria before being considered for any position. These include being a registered member of a recognised Chapter of the club and having attained the minimum age of 18 years.
He further stated the eligibility criterion as having held active membership for at least one year prior to the election, in addition, those contesting for executive roles must demonstrate commitment and service to their Chapter.
Vetting of candidates is scheduled to take place from August 5 to 15, 2025. The date and venue for the actual elections will be announced after the vetting process and the resolution of all outstanding issues.
According to Mr Nyadudzi, the voting process would be conducted by secret ballot, and each Chapter would be entitled to nominate three delegates—preferably the Chapter Chairman, Secretary or Organiser—to vote on its behalf. Any other member who wishes to vote must be formally authorised by the Chapter Chairman.
The Elections Committee also established procedures for handling disputes, stating that any complaint or challenge regarding the election must be submitted in writing within 48 hours of the incident, following which the Elections Committee would investigate and provide a final resolution.
