Firefighters from the Kpetoe Fire Station responded to a road traffic accident on Saturday, September 26, 2026, along the Kpetoe–Sarakope stretch in the Volta Region.
The crash involved a Hyundai H100 bus carrying 12 passengers and a Ford tractor with two occupants, all travelling from Kpetoe towards Aflao.
Firefighters rescued all 14 occupants and handed them over to the National Ambulance Service and Ghana Police Service for conveyance to the Ho Teaching Hospital for medical attention.
Two persons, one male and one female, were subsequently confirmed dead at the hospital.
