A thrilling encounter, it was the homesters who dominated the early part of the exchanges as their tormentor-in-chief, Baba Mahama, created problems for the Phobians’ left back, Kennedy Appiah, with his pace and skills.

The Phobians relied on long balls but on most occasions experienced Iddrisu Yaya at the City defence held sensational striker Ibrahim Musah at bay.

From that moment it was Hearts goalkeeper Soulama Abodoulaye who stole the show with some brilliant saves to deny the homesters the opener.

Techiman City came close to registering the first goal after Baba Mahama rattled the crossbar in the 56th minute but the Phobians responded two minutes later when Musah missed terribly after being put through by Eric Kumi.
