Hayford disputes reasons for his sack from Hearts
Dismissed Hearts of Oak midfielder, Emmanuel Hayford and the club have traded counter accusations over allegation of commitment and indiscipline leading to the dismissal from the club.

While Hearts News report suggested the club had to dispense with the services of Emmanuel Hayford on grounds of indiscipline and truancy, the player told Happy FM in an interview that those allegations were unfounded based on how he sacrificed for the club.
But Hackman Aidoo, the administrative manager of Hearts, explained to the Graphic Sports yesterday that the player was not sacked but was put on transfer just like the other players whose services were no longer required by the club.
“Hayford was not sacked as has been reported by the media but he is among a second badge of players the coach has been penciled for transfer”, Hackman said and added that he included a number of players expected to follow in the coming days.
But the frustrated Hayford seemed disappointed with the club’s decision and said during the interview that “It is an outrageous charge, considering all that I have gone through at Hearts. I played through the pain’s barrier at times for Hearts because of the love I have for the club,” he said.
The administrative manager said after a thorough assessment of the players, new Japanese coach, Kenichi Yatsuhashi, made a number of transfer recommendations which included the former Amidaus player.
He said the coach was looking forward to trimming down the squad to a maximum of 24 in order to create a space to accommodate the new players they intended to recruit for the upcoming season.
However, he refrained from putting out names of the players who would fall casualties to the transfer decision because he did not want to create any tension among the players but said the coach was still considering those players and would come out with his final decision when they returned from their tour of Libya.
