He recorded a net score of 72 to pick the ultimate prize in the June Monthly Medal golf competition at the Royal Golf Club in Kumasi.

“I am so excited, you know; it’s my very first major win since I started playing five years ago. The farthest I have gone is second place. This tells me if you pursue your dreams in life, you will get to wherever you aspire to reach,” said Kwansah-Filson.

Adrian David recorded a 73net to beat EK Bonsu on countback in the 18-hole event that drew a large following.

It was R. Khalil, (73 net), who stood tall in the ladies category, with C. Awuni finishing second after recording a 78 net.

Club captain,  Martin Poku, commended participants for turning up in their numbers, and encouraged them to keep up the spirit.

The first three winners in both the men and women categories took home trophies and special prizes.
