Boxing legend Azumah Nelson is promising fireworks on August 19 at the Bukom Boxing Arena when a selection of the finest boxers from Ghana and the United Kingdom clash under his Azumah Nelson's Fight Night Round IV bill.
According to Azumah, he handpicked all 10 boxers on the bill promoted by HeMann Promotions and he is confident that fans will be thrilled by their performances.
"All the boxers are ready and I am confident in the Ghanaians especially. It is my hope that they will win their bouts but boxing is unpredictable so anything can happen," the three-time World Boxing Champion said at a press briefing to herald the bout on Thursday.
"They have to do well so that we can push them. They are capable of becoming world champions but it depends on them and the discipline and attention they give the sport," Azumah Nelson added.
The five scheduled bouts of the encounter will be headlined by an eight-round super featherweight clash between Ghanaian national super-featherweight champion Wahab Oluwaseun (10-0-0) and 25-year-old Brit John "Hitman" Hick (14-2-0).
In the other match-ups, Ghanaian Emmanuel Anim will engage 26-year-old Brit Keiran "Lights Out" Leinster (21-5-0) in an international middleweight contest, Raphael King will battle Anthony Ayinde in a six-round international super lightweight affair and Wasiru Mohammed will lock horns with Felix Okine in an all Ghanaian affair.
Fans will also be handed the opportunity to catch a glimpse of the son of Azumah, Azumah Nelson Junior who will fight Brit Oliver Duffy in an international amateur lightweight bout.
The CEO of Hemann Promotions said the UK-based boxers will begin arriving in the country on Sunday, August 13 and will also participate in several press conferences to promote the boxing bill.
The Media Manager of HeMann Promotions, Yaw Sakyi announced that ticket prices for the event range between GHC30 and GHC300 for the event.
