Faisal beat Bechem in K’si

After messing up a number of goal-scoring opportunities in the first half of their Premier league match against Bechem United at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi Sunday, King Faisal managed to redeem themselves in the second half to win the game 2-1.

The victory lifted Faisal a little higher from the relegation zone as the first round of the Premier League came to an end Sunday.

Wilson Andoh made amends for  his earlier misses when he pounced on a loose ball in the vital area in the 52nd minute to drive home a bullet shot which gave substitute  goalkeeper Osei Boateng no chance.

The visitors fought back strongly and came close to redeeming the goal in the 60th minute, but Francis Dadzie missed a scoring chance as he failed to connect Razak Agyiri’s inswinger.

Just as the visitors sustained the pressure on the home side, Faisal also hit back and nearly increased the tally in the 67th minute but Osei Boateng scored full marks by stretching full length to push the ball away.

Seven minutes later, Faisal increased the tally when Abdulai Boss managed to apply his head to direct the ball into the net during a goal-mouth melee.

With defeat staring them in the face, Bechem United threw more men forward and succeeded in reducing the tally through nimble-footed Augustine Ocrah in the 85th minute.
