Diwali T20 cricket final Sunday

Defending champions, Bel Aqua, bounced back from their defeat to BGC to qualify for Sunday’s semi-finals after beating All Rounders by 25 runs in the ongoing Diwali T20 cricket tournament at the Achimota Cricket Oval.

They will face BGC, who also thrashed Supermax by 60 runs in the final in a revenge or repeat encounter at the Achimota Cricket Oval last Sunday.

Last Sunday’s semi-final matches were closely contested and witnessed skills and tactics with bat and ball, resulting in almost 500 runs scored by the teams.

In the first semi-final game, Bel Aqua played All Rounders in a clash which brought out the best skills of players batting, bowling and fielding.

Bel Aqua made 152 runs in 20 overs. Eventually, the tactical display and skills of the Bel Aqua players made the All Rounders team to succumb under pressure, losing the game by 25 runs.

Mr Anurag of Pharmanova Limited, who featured for Bel Aqua, was declared the man-of-the-match.

In the second semi-final, favourites BGC thrashed Supermax by 60 runs to book their place in the final. The favourites, led by captain Akoliya Patel, made 134 runs in 20 overs and got Supermax all out for 74 runs in 17 overs. Mr Amoluk of BGC was declared man-of-the-match.
