Christmas Boxing Extravaganza: Western Takes on Central and Greater Accra
In what promises to be an electrifying Christmas boxing spectacle, the Western Region is set to host a special X’mas Boxing Round Robin competition, featuring teams from Western, Central, and two formidable boxing clubs from Greater Accra.

The event is anticipated to bring the twin city of Takoradi to life during this year's festivities.
Organized by Mr. Twintoh Walker, the current Central Regional President of the Ghana Boxing Federation (GBF) and Coordinator of the Western Regional Boxing Federation, the competition will showcase boxing prowess from various regions.
Notably, FIT SQUARE, managed by Coach Quaye, and Wisdom Boxing Club, under the guidance of National Amateur Boxing Coach Ofori Asare, will represent Greater Accra.
Mr. Walker, with the support of the Western Regional Sports Authority Director, Mr. Joseph Alabi Bortey, and the National President of the GBF, Mr. Bernard Quartey, has established the Western Regional branch of the GBF.
The inauguration of the branch will coincide with the X'mas Boxing Round Robin, where Mr. Quartey will also present boxing equipment and logistics to the Central and Western Regional branches.
The event, scheduled for December 24, 2023, at the Kwesimintsim Trotro Station at 7:00 pm, has garnered support from various entities, including the Western Regional Coordinating Council, National Body of the GBF, Regional Sports Authority, Raybow Hotel, Ahenfie Hotel, Aseda Hotel, Taadi Hotel, Western Tyres, and Kwansah Motors.
A significant highlight of the competition is the Giant Trophy at stake for the winner, donated by Mr. Twintoh Walker.
