Black Maidens qualify for U-17 World Cup - Rout Djibouti 19-0 on aggregate

The national Under-17 women’s team, Black Maidens, booked their place at this year's FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup scheduled for Uruguay after defeating their Djibouti counterparts 10- 0 at the Cape Coast stadium.

The Maidens qualified for the November 13 to December 1 competition on a 19-0 aggregates, having thrashed their opponents 9- 0 in the first leg encounter in Djibouti.

It was raining goals in Cape Coast yesterday as Mukarama Abdulai scored four, before goals from Fuseina Mumuni, Nina Norshie, Victoria Teye, Berikisu Rahaman and Azuma Bugrie sealed the fate of the Djiboutians.

The Maidens and their South African counterparts will be joined by the winner of the match involving Cameroun and Nigeria as Africa's three representatives for the global tournament.

This is Ghana’s sixth successive qualification to the Under-17 Women's world cup.
