Usually, players as players, are rated based on their teams’ position on the league table, but some players have had a great performance in the league so far, though their teams might be struggling in the league.

These players, presented in no particular order, have made their impact felt so far.

Yussif Mohammed

Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s Nurudeen Yussif Mohammed is one of the layers who joined the team from Real Tamale United (RTU) and doubles as a professional nurse. The centre-back has played nine games for the club and has won two Most Valuable Player awards even though his side, Asante Kotoko, are currently in 16th place on the league table. Yussif is the most outstanding layer for Porcupine Warriors so far, from his efforts at the back where he usually pairs with Henry Ansu who joined Asante Kotoko from Berekum Chelsea.

Michael Amadu

Michael Amadu joined Hearts of Oak from Legon Cities and was on the radar of many teams in Ghana before his move to the Phobians succeeded ahead of the 2023/24 league season.
He is among the players to have played all matches in the league and also one of the right-backs who has been consistent with their excellent performance in the league.
In the 10 games played, Amadu has won two NASCO Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards, and his team are yet to lose a home game with three draws and two wins in the league.
He is described with his surging rounds and his ability to cross in a game.

Razak Simson

Razak Simson plays for Nations FC in the league and his team are making their debut in the betPawa Premier League, but his performance has been consistent in the league so far.
Simson is one of the most experienced players in the league and this is his third club since the 2020/21 season, having played for Liberty Professional and WAFA SC where he played for two seasons before joining Nations FC in their debut league season.
The centre-back has four Man of the Match awards in the league and is the first player to have more NASCO MVP awards after Match Day 10 and the first player to get three consecutive best player in a game.

Emmanuel Agyei

Best described for his versatility for Dreams FC, defensive midfielder, Emmanuel Agyei has put a good performance in the league so far after playing 10 games for his side with three NASCO MVP awards. Emmanuel Agyei has steeled the show from Gael Aholou and John Antwi who many thought could carry the team on their shoulder.
Even though the team has Abdul Aziz Issah playing well, Agyei’s ability to defend on a match day with his excellent ball distribution has seen the fans applaud even when his side loses a game.

Jonathan Sowah

With the defending champions of the betPawa Premier League, Jonathan Sowah’s output has seen the team progress in the CAF Champions League preliminary round to the group stage. Last season, the forward played 20 games and scored 12 goals for his side when they won the league for the first time in the club’s history. Jonathan Sowah has scored four goals for his side after eight games played and his output has earned him a Black Stars call-up and two other Medeama SC players, Abdul Fatawu Hamidu and Nurudeen Abdulai.

Isaac Mintah

With nine goals in 10 matches for Aduana FC, Isaac Mintah and his side are currently the league leaders after Match Day 10.
Aduana FC hold a record of five consecutive wins in the league, while Isaac Mintah also has a record of scoring six goals in five games.
The forward joined Aduana FC ahead of the 2021/22 season and is having his best season so far. He has three NASCO MVP awards to show for it.
