Keyeke’s goal which came in the 30th minute from a ferocious free-kick which he struck into the top right corner of the net ensured the host maintained their home invincibility in the league this season.

Samartex made some brave attacks into the half of the Porcupine Warriors, and in early stages of the game, they could have opened the scoring but Hamadu Musah watched as his effort missed the target.

Despite dominating, there were tense moments for the host, and seven minutes after the opening goal, Ebenezer Acquah’s blunder in the box nearly gifted the visitors the equaliser but the Samartex defence responded positively to save the situation.

The host were not intimidated by the stature of Kotoko, as they pushed for more goals after recess and by the 66th minute another glorious opportunity fell to Evans Osei Wusu but he fluffed the effort.

Sensing defeat, Kotoko introduced Isaac Oppong, Rocky Dwamena and Georges Mfegue to strengthen the attack but their presence added very little to their fortunes as the host held on to the solitary lead till the game came to an end.
