Aduana ‘outdoor’ new players, bus

The Dormaa Ahenkro-based Aduana Stars last Sunday unveiled its 13 newly signed players ahead of the commencement of the 2016 Premier League with a resolve to be “the best or among the best” by the end of the season.

The occasion was also used to unveil the 48-seater KIA bus presented to the club by its owner and bankroller and Omanhene of the Dormaa Traditional Area, Osagyefo Oseadeeyor Agyeman Badu II.

 

Afterwards, the club’s Chief Executive, Albert Commey, made clear their intentions for the season and sounded a warning to their opponents.

New players

Key among the new players are prolific offensive midfielders Yahya Mohammed and Richard Mpong, both of whom once featured for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, and Sampson Boampong.

Mohammed, who has played for about eight clubs in the country and tasted football in Libya with Al-Ittihad, brings an experience into the attacking options of Aduana.

Others players are Stephen Anokye Badu (B.A United), Rashid Alhassan (Prestige Heights), Walid Issahuku (Amajande), Maxwell Frimpong (Important F.C. Konongo) Zakari Mumuni (WAFA) and Bright Adjei, formerlly of Tema Youth.

The rest are Noah Martey, signed on from Bechem United, Yakubu Mohammed (D.C United), Ebenezer Opoku (Dormaa Unity Football Club) and former Starlets and Kotoko goalkeeper, Joseph Addo.

The Ankobeahene of the Dormaa Traditional Area, Barima Dei Kusi, on behalf of Osagyefo Oseadeeyor Agyeman Badu, cut the tape to unveil the new bus and charged officials of the club to take good care of it to prolong its lifespan.
