In their determination to live by their host and win mantra, the Black Challenge who were playing the Moroccans for the second time in the competition were hoping to avenge their defeat at the group stages.

But it was the North Africans who started the game as the stronger side as they posed threats to the Ghana team forcing their goalkeeper to make several saves.

But just seven minutes before recess, the Black Challenge capitulated to pressure after Allotey had cheaply given away the ball for the Moroccans to curl into the top left corner of the net.

After recess the Black Challenge were the better side as they started making some incursions and mounted pressure on the Moroccan.

But just when the host thought they were heading to a defeat, the got the breakthrough when Hamza Mohammed finished off a brilliant team move to level for the Black Challenge.

As the pitch erupted with the crowd singing and cheering them on, Black Challenge took advantage of the momentum and took the lead.

This time, it was captain Richard Attah who scored from a beautifully worked free kick to complete and give the Black Challenge a 2-1 lead in extra time to win the trophy for the country.
