12th edition of ETV/Japan Motors 5km Corporate Run and Walk launched

ETV Ghana in collaboration with Japan Motors has launched the 12th edition of the annual five-kilometre Corporate Run and Walk with a pledge to donate a percentage of the proceeds to the Ghana Blind Union.

This year's race will start at 6 am on Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Day, Wednesday, September 21, 2022, across four cities, namely; Accra, Kumasi, Takoradi and Tamale.

In Accra, the race will be held at the Silver Star Tower while the other races will start at the Japan Motors offices in the respective cities.

Launch

Speaking at the launch yesterday (Tuesday, August 2, 2022) in Accra, the Business Development Officer of Japan Motors, Raynold Owusu said the race was to not only celebrate Ghana's first president but to also promote a healthy lifestyle and networking amongst corporate Ghana,

"Most importantly, the Charity Run is aimed at supporting the Ghana Blind Union (GBU) and as such, portions of proceeds from the run will be donated to the Union," Mr Owusu said.

The Sales Consultant of Japan Motors, Gloria Kotei also disclosed that the registration fee for the race is  GH₵60 for individuals and  GH₵750 for a team of five participants.

She added that registration forms were available at the ETV premises, YFM and offices of Global Media Alliance.
