The mother of Ghana and Mazembe midfielder Solomon Asante has passed away, Goal.com has reported.
Madam Monica Dankwaa passed away last Thursday after a short illness, the report stated.
Solomon Asante is said to have been given leave of absence to be with his family.
The former Berekum Chelsea player was part of the TP Mazembe squad that lost to CS Sfaxien on a 2-3 aggregate in the Caf Confederation Cup final last weekend.
