Schalke blast Ghana over Boateng

The sporting director of Schalke 04 Horst Heldt and head coach Jens Keller are blaming Ghana for Kevin-Prince Boateng’s poor showing against Frankfurt over the weekend.

Boateng played the last few minutes in Ghana's loss to Egypt in Cairo last week, a game in which he scored, but failed to impress in a 3-3 draw against Frankfurt over the weekend.

“The trip to play for Ghana has done him more harm than good. I wished he cancelled that trip,” Horst told the Bild.

The head coach of the side also pointed accusing fingers at Ghana by insisting that Boateng's trip to Turkey with the Black Stars and the Egypt game has not been helpful.

“He spent two weeks with Ghana. I do not know what they did there, we are not satisfied,” Keller stated.
