Ozil set to have scan on knee injury

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has travelled to Munich to undergo a scan on his knee, the Germany Football Association has revealed.

Ozil played the full 90 minutes as the Gunners loss 2-0 to Chelsea on Sunday, but his involvement against Poland on Saturday is in doubt despite joining up with Joachim Low's squad.

According to goal.com, Ozil sat out training with the national team on Wednesday and is now heading to Munich for a MRI scan with doctor Hans-Wilhelm Müller-Wohlfahrt.

DFB spokesman Jens Grittner wrote on Twitter: "Second training without [Andre] Schurrle (individually at the hotel) and Ozil. He had travelled with knee problems, is to have an MRI scan in Munich."
