Security concerns has forced the Ministry of Sports to make a quick u-turn on its decision to open free gates in Ghana’s 2015 AFCON qualifier against Uganda this afternoon at the Baba Yara stadium in Kumasi.
Instead, fans will enjoy a 50 per cent discount on the original prices of tickets to the various stands.
A massive crowd was expected at this afternoon’s game as a result of an earlier announcement that gates were to be opened for free for fans to attend the game.
The Ministry of Sports together with the National Sports Council and National Security have decided to rescind the earlier decision and reduced the prices.
