A rejuvenated AC Milan side are eyeing a firm grip on the top of the Italian standings despite hosting a potentially nerve-racking game against their rivals, and defending champions, Juventus in one of the blockbuster league action in Europe this weekend.
Struggling to barely survive last season, Milan under Filippo Inzaghi seemed to have bounced back with a two out of two wins so far, thrilling with some impressive goals.
Juventus, eager to defend their title back to back, breath heavily on the neck of the leaders, hoping to take advantage of a slip to move to the top.
The battle for the top spot will not be limited to the two teams, but will also involve Ghanaian stars, Sulley Ali Muntari and Michael Essien for Milan, Kwadwo Asamoah for Juventus.
Contrary to speculation that Muntari may not find a good place in Inzaghi’s team, he has played in twice already, scoring in the first and playing a key role in the second.
Essien’s presence is yet to be felt just as Asamoah.
Especially with Muntari eager to regain a place in the Black Stars and Asamoah, eager to hold on to a place in Juve’s starting line up, tomorrow’s clash will be one interesting encounter.
Juventus come into this clash with a double win against Milan last season -- 3-2 in the first leg at home and another 0-2 at the Rosseneiri, a record Milan will want to turn around.
