Montpellier to loan out Bastian Badu again

French Ligue 1 club Montpellier will loan out Bastian Badu more again this summer as he seeks more playing time at a good level to hone his talent.

The French striker of Ghanaian descent was loaned to Ligue 2 outfit FC Chambly on a six-month deal in January this year and was able to make four appearances before the competition was truncated due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Graphic Sports understands that "La Pallaide" are bent on offering him out again next month to another Ligue 2 side where he will have enough playing time to develop his talent and talks are already underway with Grenoble and a host of other second-tier clubs.

Badu, 20, made his Ligue 1 debut for Montpellier on October 26, 2019 against Angers where he came on in the final eight minutes of the goalless draw encounter.

The budding attacker is considered one of the brightest prospects in French football and has already been likened to the legendary Henry Thiery because of his style of play.

Badu was born in the city of Le Mans to a Ghanaian father and French mother and played for FC L'Etente before being signed by Montpellier in 2017 for their youth. He was promoted to the senior team in 2019.

He has already represented France at the under -18 level but is still eligible to switch allegiance to Ghana at the senior level.
