Kumasi Asante Kotoko are expected to seal their title dreams this afternoon as they search for a crucial win against Wa All Stars at the Tamale Sports Stadium.
The Porcupine Warriors play their second home match in the First Capital Plus Premier League away from home folllowing the temporary closure of the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) on April 10.
Kotoko were determined to put a closure on the league title last Saturday with a win at the Accra Sports Stadium over Inter-Allies but the attempt floundered after the Tema-based side handed them a shocking 0-1 defeat.
With their closest rivals to the title, Accra Hearts of Oak and Heart of Lions still unable to give them a strong fight, strikers Seidu Bansey and Abdul Aziz, who have been struggling to hit the target could rediscover their scoring boots this afternoon.
But Paul Asare De Vires and Michael Mensah, a former player of Kotoko, have what it takes to give the Porcupine Warriors a tough resistance.
In the other matches, Hearts of Lions host Medeama at Kpando, while Heart travel to play Hasaacas at the Sekondi Stadium at Essipon, Liberty Professionals host Amidaus Professionals at the Carl Reindolf Park at Dansoman, Berekum Chelsea play Dwarfs and the Berekum Golden City Park, King Faisal face Ashgold at the Obuasi Len Clay, Bechem United battle Aduana Stars at the Bechem Park while Inter Allies welcome New Edubiase United to the Tema Park.
