Group E of the 2015 AFCON qualifiers on Saturday yielded some interesting results with Guinea handing the Hawks of Togo a 4:1 humbling in the latter’s own backyard.
The shocking outcome came hours after Uganda had themselves given their chances at qualification the required booster with 1:0 home victory over the Black Stars of Ghana.
Seydouba Soumah scored a hatrick (40th 59th and 65th) to hand Guinea a 4:0 lead following a Idrissa Sylla 25th minute opener.
Emmanuel Adebayor managed to pull a goal back but it was not enough to prevent the Hawks from slumping to the base of the Group E table with 6 points. Guinea, at 7 points as Uganda, is now third on the log with a goal less than Uganda.
