GFA boss urges stakeholders to bridge gap
The President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt E.S. Okraku, has stressed the need to bridge the knowledge gap by engaging stakeholders of the football industry to help impart knowledge to players.
He maintained that the industry could grow if members of the association could close the gap at all levels, including the Premier League level.

Mr Okraku made the call when he welcomed a delegation from the Ghana Universities Sports Association (GUSA) on behalf of the Executive Council at the GFA Secretariat last Wednesday.
He stressed on how essential sports was to the society and how relationships of such calibre could propel football to the next level in terms of development.
The FA president reaffirmed the GFA’s commitment to such relations, welcoming a reunion and co-existence for mutual benefits.
He also acknowledged all contributions and concerns raised by the GUSA leadership and gave an assurance that they would be passed on to the Executive Council for further deliberations.
Purpose of visit
The GUSA executives, led by President Shaibu Tanko, paid a working visit to the GFA as part of their efforts to build a healthy relationship with the federation.
The visit was purposely to introduce the executives to the GFA, deliberate on issues of mutual benefit to both parties and also strengthen the already-existing relationship.
During the roundtable discussion, the GUSA leadership touched on how best academics could be merged with sports to sustain a healthy relationship, as well as how best the GFA could contribute logistics and funds towards the GUSA and World University Games.
Other members of the delegation included Dr Dominic Otoo, Vice-President; Timothy Mensah, Organising Secretary, and Ali Ibrahim, Financial Secretary.
The rest are Asante Forkuo, Public Relations Officer; Dr Bella Bello Bitugu and Baba Apidogo, co-opted members.
