Gambian referee Papa Bakary Gassama will handle this afternoon’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Ghana’s Black Stars and the Hawks of Togo.
He will be assisted on the lines by compatriot Sulayman Sosseh and Cameroun’s Evarist Menkouande.
The 35-year-old Gassama, who was appointed a FIFA referee in 2007, handled the 2014 World Cup Group B match between T
he Netherlands and Chile at the Corinthians Arena in Sao Paulo. He officiated at the 2012 and 2013 African Cup of Nations tournaments.
Another Gambian, Maudo Jallow, will be the fourth official of this afternoon’s match, while Kenyan Nicholas Musonye serves as the Match Commissioner.
