FIFA rankings: Ghana still 22nd

Nigeria, African champions in 2013, also moved up three places to 28th and fourth in Africa.

Cote d’Ivoire’s Elephants remain the highest ranked African team in the world maintaining their 12th position, while Mali (26th), Algeria (35th), Tunisia (41st), Zambia (46th), Burkina Faso (50th), and Equatorial Guinea (61st) completing Africa’s top 10.

There are no changes in the world’s top 10 standings as  the world champions, Spain, are still number one with Germany, Argentina, Croatia, Portugal, Colombia, England, Italy, The Netherlands and Ecuador in that order.

Former world champions, France and Brazil, who not too long ago, occupied the top spots, are now 18th and 19th respectively.
