Black Stars to train in Addis Ababa

Ghana touched down in Addis Ababa on Thursday night, ahead of their first training session on Friday afternoon in preparation for June's 2014 World Cup qualifiers against Sudan and Lesotho.

The Black Stars Kwesi Appiah flew out of Accra on Thursday with 18 players out of the 25 he named for the two Group D matches in Khartoum and Maseru.

The France-based duo of Mohammed Rabiu and Jonathan Mensah as well as TP Mazembe duo of Solomon Asante, Richard Kissi-Boateng are expected to join the camp later because of club commitments.

Also expected to join the team in Addis Ababa are Harrison Afful, Mubarak Wakaso and South Africa-based midfielder Edwin Gyimah.

Ghana have a busy few days of preparation before departing the East African country for Khartoum on 5 June.
