2021 AFCON: Algerian referee Lahlou Benbraham to officiate Gabon v Ghana clash

Algerian referee Lahlou Benbraham has been appointed by the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) to officiate Ghana versus Gabon second 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Group C encounter at the Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaoundi on Friday.

The 36-year-old will be assisted by Mohammed Abdallah Ibrahim from Sudan (Assistant I) and Seydou Tiama from Burkina Faso (Assistant II).

Amin Mohamed Amin Mohamed Omar has been appointed as the fourth referee.

Democratic Republic of Congo's Jean-Didier Masamba Malunga  will serve as the Match Commissioner while Latré-Kayi Edzona Lawson Hogban from Togo is the Referee Assessor.

The Black Stars are looking to kick-start their continental campaign with an emphatic win over the Panthers to stand a chance of qualifying from Group C.

Ghana are currently placed bottom on the log behind Gabon, Morocco, and Comoros respectively.
