Abbey, Acheampong pick NASCO awards

Accra Hearts of Oak skipper, Thomas Abbey, and Elmina Sharks coach, Yaw Acheampong, have been named NASCO Premier League player and coach of the month respectively for July.

Abbey scooped the award ahead of Elmina Sharks' Felix Addo and Stephen Amankona of Berekum Chelsea.

Abbey was in sensational form in July, scoring four times in three matches, and won the NASCO man-of-the-match award twice in the three games he played.

Elmina Sharks' trainer, Yaw Acheampong, picked the NASCO coach of the Month Award after leading Elmina Sharks to  remarkable feats in July.

Acheampong won all four games,   ahead of fellow nominees; Medeama's Evans Adotey and Tom Strand of Accra Great Olympics.

The winners will receive a sleek NASCO Elite Q5 smart phone as their prizes.
