Ghana’s IBO lightweight title contender, Emmanuel GameBoy Tagoe, will now fight South African Mzonke Fana on Friday at the New Sports Emporium, near the Korle Lagoon.

Both boxers will vie for the vacant IBO lightweight title which is the prestigious belt at stake.

The 43-year-old hard-hitting Fana has fought 48 times and lost 10 and is expected to exert some force on the youngster.

Tagoe, 29, the James Town native, who has 28 fights, with 15 kayos, was scheduled to meet David Fernando Saucedo but the fight was postponed at the last minute due to injury suffered by the latter.

Promoters of the bout, BabyJet Promotions, have decided to appease boxing fans with a mouth-watering package involving some celebrity artistes.

The night will witness an assembly of top musicians such as Stonebuoy, Becca and Tinny, Jupitar, Wisa, Kwaisey Pee and Nii Funny.   “A special package for ringside is also available and tickets for the bout are out for sale”, Samuel Anim-Addo, CEO of BabyJet Promotions, told the Daily Graphic.
