The Colombian has promised to “upset Agbeko” before an expected huge crowd of Ghanaians, while ‘Fresh King’ King Kong Agbeko insisted he would not disappoint Ghanaians.

The confidence exuded by either boxer must have flown from their respective vast experiences in the ring. Agbeko, 32, is 28-4, while Melendez, 33, is 34-8-1.

Despite his few attempts at world titles, including his latest effort in December last year, Melendez has never tasted a world title before, although he is highly regarded in his native Colonbia in South America.

Agbeko, on the other hand, has not fought in 15 months, his last fight being the loss on points to Mexican Abner Mares.
