President Mahama wishes Dogboe well ahead of his bout on Friday

President John Dramani Mahama has sent a goodwill message to Africa WBO featherweight champion, Isaac Dogboe ahead of his Friday bout.

In a message sent through, Nii Lante Vanderpuye, Minister of Youth and Sports, the President on behalf of the government and the people of Ghana wished  Dogboe the best of luck, as he prepared to take on Filipino Neil John Tabanao in the WBO Unification and WBC Youth World featherweight Championship in Ghana, at the Police Officers Social and Fitness Centre.

 The message urged Dogboe to tackle the fight  with a positive attitude.                  

“With the right mindset, nothing should be beyond you, go all out till you emerge victorious.            

“You should prepare your mind adequately and renew your spirit of conviction towards the competition. Boxing is a discipline of tact and flair and this is the way you should go,” it stressed.                                         

"Go it fair and obey the rules of the game and in the end, I know you will be victorious,”  it assured him.          

It also urged the trainer of Isaac 'Royal Storm' Dogboe to ensure that the boxer was  well-conditioned and in the right frame of mind ahead of the bout.
