The two boxers will slug it out for the Interim WBO Africa Lightweight Championship on the ‘Fist of Fury’.

Kamote, who was in the company of his trainer, Ibrahim Abdul-Aziz Mashi, looked relaxed as he was welcomed by promoters McDon Atsitsogbe of McDon Promotions and Alex Ntiamoah Boakye of Box Office Promotions.

The dreadlocked boxer told the Graphic Sports that he would knock out Ashie in round four and dared the hard-hitting Bukom fighter, alias Red Tiger, to come out and fight him.

“Ashie is no match for me and will be no match for me on Friday; I’m well prepared for the bout and I dare him to fight me,” Kamote predicted through his trainer.

Abdu-Aziz disclosed that his charge was psyched up for Friday’s bout which he is destined to win.

Meanwhile, promoters of the bout, Mcdon Promotions and Box Office Promotions, said preparations were underway at the fight venue to ensure a successful bill.

According to the main promoter, McDon Atsitsogbe, his outfit has put in place measures to ensure fans got their monies worth.

“Everything has been sorted out and come Friday, Ghanaians will witness a real spectacle,” he assured.

The undercards of the bill, dubbed ‘Fist of Fury’, are a 12-round WBF Africa light-heavyweight championship fight between Maxwell "Black Wolf" Amponsah and Ebenezer "Upper Cut" Tetteh, while Pride "Octopus" Dzanie fights Michael Barnor for the National and West Africa Boxing Union (WABU) bantamweight titles.

Former national champion, Patrick Allotey, faces off with Isaac Aryee in a 10-round welterweight bout.
