I’ll stop Filipino boxer — Game Boy predicts

New boxing sensation, Emmanuel 'Game Boy' Tagoe, has sent the strongest warning to his opponent to brace for a severe thrashing in their  WBA International Lightweight contest this month.

Tagoe face Joebert Delos Reyes on March 27 at the Accra Sports Stadium  in a bout  which the Ghanaian believes his opponent won’t survive the entire duration.

Speaking to the Graphic Sports yesterday, the 27-year-old boxer was emphatic in his ability to punish the Filipino.

"I have watched him and I think he is good but not  good enough to pose any serious threat to me in the ring", Game Boy bragged.

"Ghanaians should expect a knock out from me because they all know what I can do, but I will stop him," he said and urged all his fans to troop to the stadium early.

According to Tagoe, who will be fighting under Baby Jet Promotion, the bout would serve as a precursor to his ambition of achieving a world title before the end of the year.

"I have really prepared for this bout and even though I don't watch clips of my opponents, I have studied his records", he stated.

This, Tagoe beleives, would enable him assess the strength of his opponent in order to prepare adequately for him and asked his fans and Ghanaians to remember him in prayers as he prepres to fight the Filipino.

Meanwhile, at the press briefing yesterday for the first  big fight of the year, Tagoe disclosed that he had intensified his training regimen for the upcoming bout.

Tagoe’s  boxing  sworn enemy, George “The Red Tiger” Ashie will be the most watched undercard as he clashes with another Filipino, Ronald Pontillas in a 10- round international lightweight contest.

Interestingly, Pontillas first encounter in Ghana was against Emmanuel Game Boy Tagoe who defeated him in a unanimous decision.

Promoters of the bout, BabyJet Promotions, with support from Box Office Promotions promise  a good show on March 27.
