Kakembo’s bravado and boastful rhetorics appeared to have strengthened the resolve of Dogboe, who vowed to punish him for disrespecting him.

And in fornt of a sizeable crowd, including former Presidenr Jerry John Rawlings, his wife Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings and boxing icon Azumah Nelson, the Ghanaian boxer found the right inspiration and strength to pummel the Ugandan braggart into submission.

In what became a one-sided bout, Dogboe dominated his opponent from the opening round and even joked along the way to knock out his defenceless opponent cold.

The Ugandan was reduced to a frightened fighter  as Dogboe went on the offensive right from the opening round.

Both fighters came into the ring with an unblemished record, having won all their respective professional bouts but it was the former Ghanaian Olympian who threw the first combinations in the opening round.

As the fight wore on, Kamembo looked tired, with his weakened legs failing to carry him on. He went down from a blow to his right eye and a punch to the back of his head in the second and third rounds.

Dogboe cut the ring to size, pummelling the Ugandan with combinations to his face and body in the fourth and fifth rounds.

Kakembo, however, attempted to fight back in the fifth and sixth rounds but only threw a few punches which had little impact on the Ghanaian.

In the sixth round, Dogboe cornered his opponent and knocked him down after an exchange of punches. Kakembo got back on his feet but could not continue as referee Roger Barnor stepped in to signal the fight over.

After the bout a delighted Dogboe vowed to continue his journey towards a world title bout. He got a major boost from the former President who predicted that he would be the future Azumah Nelson.

In other supporting bouts, Amana Dotse lost by a technical knockout against Emmanuel Adotey in their lightweight contest, while Richard Dogberga also suffered a TKO against Nathaniel Nunke in another lightweight fight.

Kyi-Sulk Lee knocked out James Lamptey in a welterweight contest, Felix Mankattah defeated Charles Tetteh by a TKO while Charles Adamu also won by TKO against Sylvester Allotey.
