President John Dramani Mahama begins a three-day working visit to the Ashanti Region today.
The visit forms part of the President's regional tours.
While in the region, President Mahama will pay a courtesy call on the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, at the Manhyia Palace, before he sets out to undertake other activities, including a meeting with the Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs, and the inspection, inauguration and sod-cutting of various projects.
Key among the projects is the Military Hospital in Kumasi, whose sod-cutting would be done.
A key project being undertaken by the government, the hospital will be the second military hospital in Ghana.
