Otumfuo commended for leadership role
The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu, has been commended for his prudent leadership role of the Asante Kingdom in particular and Ghana in general.

He has also been commended for demonstrating in practical terms his commitment for initiating and facilitating development in various spheres of human endeavour aside from the traditional institution.
Speaking to the Daily Graphic in Kumasi, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of M.Y. Caesar Company, Dr M.Y. Caesar, commended the Asantehene for accepting the invitation to deliver a lecture on the topic, “Advancing Together”, under the auspices of the National Commission on Civic Education as part of its annual lectures on democracy in Accra recently.
He said the institution of the Otumfuo Charity Foundation was enough testimony of the Asantehene's genuine commitment to socio-economic development and should be lauded.
Dr Caesar particularly lauded Otumfuo for his immense contribution towards promoting peace in the country and the world as a whole.
The CEO said the numerous visits of the Asantehene outside the country and the desire of most leaders to visit the country to strengthen bilateral and multilateral relations as well as foster unity among Ghanaians and the outside world were an ample testimony of his love for peace.
He noted that since his ascension to the Golden Stool, Otumfuo Osei Tutu had proven beyond doubt that he had a lot to offer Ghana in her socio-economic development.
He said one way the Asantehene had endeared himself to Ghanaians was his quest to solve protracted land and chieftaincy disputes in Ashanti, and added that land and chieftaincy disputes were the main problems which militate against development in the country, and said any effort to solve them must be encouraged and supported.
Dr Caesar, therefore, urged the people of Asanteman to support the good deeds of the Asantehene as a good ambassador in Africa saying one of the initiatives that would need extensive support was the annual Otumfuo Teachers Awards scheme.
He said, for instance, M.Y. Caesar Company, which is a food supplement company, was sponsoring this year’s awards ceremony scheduled to come off on June 7, this year.
