NDC Urges Supporters to go out and vote

The  National Democratic Congress (NDC) has urged the party's supporters and sympathies who were unable to vote Friday due to glitches with the verification machines to go out and cast their ballots today.

Addressing a news conference Saturday in Accra, the Mahama for 2012 Campaign Coordinator, Mr Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah, appealed to the Electoral Commission (EC) to ensure that all the electorate who were not able to vote Friday, were given the chance to exercise their franchise today.

He impressed on NDC supporters and sympathies to remain calm as the results continued to come in.

Mr Afriyie-Ankrah said God would speak at the end of the voting, and expressed optimism that Ghana would remain peaceful after the election.

Mr John Jinapor, the Spokesperson of President Mahama, reiterated the NDC's resolve not to do anything to interfere with the work of the EC.
