NDC, NPP in a show of peaceful co-existence

Roads were blocked and vehicular movements came to a halt to pave way for the enthusiastic supporters who danced and shouted their various party slogans to show their support.

The campaign started at about 5:30 am with the sound of the vuvuzela calling on members to come out and show their support for their political parties.

Domestic animals such as chickens; cattle, goats and sheep which were used as mascots, were decorated with party paraphenalia and dressed in party colours to show their support for their political parties.

Among the people who participated in the walk were women and children who could not hold their excitement and exchanged pleasantries with each other as they campaigned.

They held flags, banners and played sounds with cooking utensils to spice up the occasion.

Many supporters (mostly the youth) also displayed with their motor bikes, racing along the streets and blowing their horns.

A number of the supporters who participated in the near cannival, told graphic.com.gh that they were for peace and wanted to continue living together as one people in peace and unity at all times.
