Mahama cuts sod for new sports facility in Bole-Bamboi

The presidential candidate of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has cut sod for the construction of 500-seater sports facility for the people of Bole-Bamboi and its surrounding communities.

The sod-cutting ceremony was held on Sunday (September 22, 2024).

In a post on Facebook, Mr Mahama noted that the sports complex, facilitated by the Member of Parliament for Bole, Yusif Suleman, would feature a football pitch with changing rooms, volleyball and tennis courts, as well as a swimming pool.

"When completed, this will surely be an excellent opportunity to provide the youth with an avenue to develop their sporting skills and talents, keep them healthy, and create entertainment opportunities through the various games and activities in the complex", he stated.

He explained that the construction would also create joa bs opportunities for the town’s skilled and unskilled youth. 

"As a social democratic party, the NDC is immutable in its commitment to inclusive growth through investments in health, education, and sports", he added.
