LPG outlines core campaign message for Election 2020
The Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG) has outlined its core campaign message for the 2020 elections as the party prepares to roll out its nationwide campaign.
The party says it will stop at nothing in making sure that every Ghanaian voter in each of the 16 regions of the country “understand why Ghana’s economy will change once the party takes over power in 2021”.

Speaking to the Daily Graphic, the founder and leader of LPG, Mr Kofi Akpaloo, said the party would communicate its entire 20-points core agenda to the public in the coming weeks.
Some of the party’s core message, he said would include the introduction and payment of child benefits, unemployment benefits, regularise galamsey and small scale mining, fix all roads in Ghana by 2024, provide world class school infrastructure, free wi-fi in all schools and colleges.
LPG-led government
Additionally, Mr Akpaloo said the party would turn Ghana’s sport and entertainment into a $10 billion industry to create wealth and jobs.
“We will build 10 new state of the art ultra-modern hospitals and improve upon the existing health infrastructure to turn Ghana into a medical tourism centre,” he said.
For young entrepreneurs, Mr Akpaloo said an LPG-government would set up a $10 billion job fund to provide capital for young Ghanaians to start their own businesses.
“We will bring all Ghanaians irrespective of their political affiliation together to rebuild Ghana,” he said.
On marijuana, Mr Akpaloo said his government would legalise and regulate it for industrial use, adding that through its legalisation, Ghana could generate $6 billion annually.
“The party will also provide funding and subsidies to support commercial rice and poultry production nationwide to discourage importation,” he said.
Mr Akpaloo said the party would build business incubators in all tertiary institutions across Ghana for graduates to start and grow their businesses.
“Additionally, we will create a new start-up allowance to help unemployed graduates starting a new business with their living costs in the crucial first year of their business,” he said.
On the Police Service, Mr Akpaloo said his government would overhaul the service “to become an honest and professional organisation that will actually serve and protect Ghanaians”.
“We will improve the working conditions of the personnel of the Police Service to maintain law and order,” he added.
