God will secure victory for NPP - Nana Akufo-Addo

He took a swipe at the NDC for trying to create doubts about the policy and said if in their minds they thought it would not be possible they should make way for an effective government to assume the reins of power and to ensure that all Ghanaian children irrespective of the fact that their parents had money to take care of them or not to benefit from free senior education.

The NPP presidential candidate stated that it would not auger well for the nation and also disunity would creep into fibre of the Ghanaian society if secondary education continued to be the preserve of only those who could afford.

He promised the gathering that the free senior high school policy was not decided out of the blues but was a well thought and calculated policy meant to ensure that all Ghanaians benefited from the oil rich resources.

He depicted the NDC’s doubt about the free SHS as ironical because President John Mahama in his autobiography which was recently published stated that while his father was a minister of state in the Kwame Nkrumah regime, he was made to attend secondary school in the North after going to Achimota basic school.

Nana Akufo-Addo said the free education opportunity whereby President Mahama benefited to become who he was today must be expanded for a lot more Ghanaians to benefit to become useful citizens and probably presidents in future.

Nana Akufo-Addo told the people of the Western Region to vote for the NPP which was the only political party that would be able to ensure that the region which offered majority of the nation’s resources but in return received very little was given its appropriate share.

He said the NPP would never allow the oil resources to benefit some few Ghanaian and explained that when the NDC came to power they made the settlement of doubtful  judgement debt to the tune of GHc850 million in just two years, an amount that would benefit a lot of young people who were out school .

Nana Akufo-Addo who referred to the rate at which the NDC was squandering the nation’s resources as “nyafu nyafu” gave his word that corruption would be a very costly venture for his appointees.

He told the people that through the industrial development agenda of the NPP, Takoradi would become the oil and gas city of Ghana and that the youth of Ghana would be empowered to lead that process.

He advise the people that on the December they should make the casting of the   ballot for the NPP as their priority on that day before embarking on any other and said with the capable team of men and women the NPP would offered a first class government.
