Don’t underate any job - Victoria Hammah

"I am not ashamed to be associated with the ‘sobolo’ business admitting she had gained a lot from it", she said.

This was made known when Ms Victoria Hammah held a mini rally in Accra on Friday.

The rally, which was characterised by singing of party campaign songs and dancing by party sympathisers and supporters, also provided the atmosphere for party faithfuls to dedicate themselves to the progress of the party and the task of winning the December election.

Amidst thunderous cheers, Ms Hammah charged the supporters to make history by voting her as the youngest candidate in the race and also retain the NDC in power to enable its vision be effectively advanced.

"See the significance of the upcoming elections within the context of history by voting for me and also retain the NDC for brighter possibilities and elect effective leaders", she entreated.

She said that no amount of insults and untruths by her opponent can ever dissuade her from implementing her developmental agenda.

Ms Hammah therefore called on her supporters to avoid insults on campaign platforms to ensure a violence-free campaign and election stressing that God has already chosen her as a worthy leader for the constituency, adding. "Politics is not a "do-or die “affair and that peace is priceless".

"Our greatness should be made more meaningful through our collective sense of self- respect, decency, individual and collective self-development, she noted.

She also called on parents to help direct and guide the youth from violent and  chaotic acts in society.

A member of the Zongo Caucus of the NDC in the constituency reiterated the government’s commitment towards improving the lives of people for the betterment of society.

She expressed confidence that the constituency would benefit enormously from government’s policies, programmes and projects under implementation across the country.

Concerns were raised by the electorates about some challenges they faced in the constituency among which were problems of non availability of jobs, choked gutters and play grounds among others.

In response to the concerns raised, Ms Hammah, announced that she would develop a scholarship scheme aimed at equipping brilliant and needy youth in the community to access higher education to develop their intellectual capacity, provide soft loans for hardworking mothers and the construction of a ‘Sobolo’ factory among others.

She enumerated projects the area had enjoyed under the NDC administration, which includes the Dansoman road project and the provision of streetlights stressing, when elected, she would continue the good work started by Hon Fritz Baffour.

"When elected, I will push hard for policies that would advance and modernise Ghana, expand educational opportunities for the youth with developmental needs", she added.
