Bawumia intensifies grassroots campaign in Western Region
The Vice President and Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has ramped up his grassroots campaign in Ghana’s Western Region, demonstrating his determination to win the mandate of the people ahead of the 2024 general elections.

Since being elected as the NPP’s flagbearer nearly a year ago, Dr. Bawumia has adopted a hands-on approach to campaigning, engaging directly with people at the grassroots level.
His latest tour in the Western Region has followed this pattern, with a series of energetic "meet and greet" interactions in local markets, shops, lorry parks, and on the streets.
The Vice President's Western Regional tour began at Daboase Junction, where he made surprise appearances, greeting and interacting with shopkeepers, drivers, and commuters.
Crowds gathered as he continued his tour in Daboase and Shama townships, visiting markets and public spaces to exchange pleasantries with the locals.
On Friday (September 27, 2024), Dr. Bawumia continued his tour in Ahanta West, drawing attention with a street campaign at the bustling Apowa and Agona Nkwanta lorry parks.
Dr. Bawumia's energetic grassroots campaign has earned him widespread attention as he engages with people on the ground, underscoring his commitment to connecting with voters at a personal level as the race for the presidency heats up.
