Anas expose: Mahama threatens legal action against Multimedia

Former President John Dramani Mahama has threatened a legal action against Multimedia Group Limited following the publication of allegations that he received some monies from some foreign investors to fund his 2016 campaign.

The report which was published by Joy FM claimed that the beleaguered Football Association president, Kwesi Nyantakyi in his statement to the Criminal Investigations Department said that a Sheikh supported the NDC’s campaign with $8 million.

But the office of the former President has denied the allegation; describing it as a political propaganda.

In an interview on Accra-based Starr FM, Mr Mahama’s Special Aide, Joyce Bawa Mogtari, said Mr Mahama is in consultation with his lawyers to decide on the action to take against Multimedia.

“The former president’s lawyers are currently looking at the situation. They are reviewing all the publications and in due course a decision will be taken on whether or not to take legal action against the said media house,” she said.
