West Africa International honours Comet boss

The Chairman of the Comet Group of Companies, Nana Odeneho Kyeremanteng, has been honoured by the West Africa International Centre for Good Governance for his leadership and business versatility in the real estate business.

A citation read at the Sixth West Africa Governance and Awards ceremony in Lome, the Togolese capital, commended Nana Kyeremanteng’s pivotal role in the real estate business in Ghana and West Africa.

The Comet Group of Companies includes Wordfields Development Company, Landline, Nova Afrakoma, Comet Roofings, Comet Construction and Mars Micro Finance.

Comet township

The company’s flagship project, the Comet Township at Berekuso, near Kwabenya in Accra, is also one of the biggest real estate projects in the country, boasting more than 1,500 housing units.

Mr Abwaku Englama, the Director General of the West Africa Monetary Institute (WAMI), who was the guest speaker at the awards ceremony, stressed the need for more efforts to achieve a harmonised monetary system for West Africa.

The West Africa International Centre for Good Governance helps to motivate business people, leaders and politicians to enhance their contributions to the development of the sub-continent.
