Vice President Bawumia joins thousands in pre-burial prayers for National Chief Imam's wife

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia joined thousands of Muslims from diverse backgrounds on Wednesday afternoon (March 27, 2024) to participate in the Janaiza prayers for Hajia Rahmatu Tahwee Sheikh Sharubutu, the wife of National Chief Imam Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu.

Hajia Rahmatu passed away on Wednesday morning in Accra. The Janaiza, a mandatory pre-burial prayer for Muslims, was conducted, and she was laid to rest immediately after.

Vice President Bawumia, along with the multitude of Muslims, attended the prayers to seek Allah's mercy for the departed, affectionately known as Hajia Amaria. The prayers were led by the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu.

Hajia Rahmatu was buried in accordance with Islamic customs.
