Ursula Owusu retains Ablekuma West seat
The incumbent Member of Parliament of the Ablekuma West Constituency, Mrs Ursula Owusu- Ekuful has retained her seat after polling 37,363 out of 69,353 votes.
Her closest competitor Rev. Kweku Addo of the National Democratic Congress ( NDC) followed with 30,733 votes.
The NPP also won the presidential election in the constituency with 39, 097 votes, while the NDC had 29,294 votes.

The Ghana Union Movement (GUM) presidential candidate, Mr Christian Kwabena Andrews garnered 314 votes.
The rest of the political parties CPP, GFP, GCPP, APC , LPG, PPP, NDP and Independent candidates polled 48, 18, 5, 7,19, 4, 40, 8 and 6 respectively.
Meanwhile, GUM, LPG and PNC parliamentary candidates who contested for seat in Ablekuma West Constituency polled 359, 330 and 65 respectively
The total valid votes was 68,860 and rejected ballots 778.
